Presente sia nei corsi d’acqua che nelle zone umide interne, la Biscia d’acqua (Natrix Helvetica) è il più comune serpente che possiamo incontrare, riconoscibile per la livrea generale e il caratteristico disegno sulla nuca composto da un anello bianco e due semilune nere. Abile nuotatrice, si nutre di rane e rospi, ma anche di pesci che cattura rimanendo in immersione.

Present in both streams and in inland wetlands, the Water Snake (Natrix Helvetica) is the most common snake we can meet, recognizable by its general livery and the characteristic pattern on the nape of its neck composed of a white ring and two black half-moons. A skilled swimmer, it feeds on frogs and toads, but also on fish, which it catches by remaining underwater.
